Does Anyone Get Drowsy Spells During The Day?

I was just wondering, if it is normal to get drowsy spells during the day. I am a 20 year old male and I sometimes during the day I get spells and feel like I want to sleep. It makes it hard to pay attention some times especially during my college classes. I get plenty of sleep at night and sometimes it feels as if the more I sleep at night, the sleepier I am. Any suggestions??? I do take some medicine for anxiety, but its only taken when needed.

  1. Yes, it’s normal to want to nap, especially in the afternoon. I always get sleepy around 3-4. If you can find a place to take a very short nap during the day (in a car or maybe the library), even a few minutes of sleep can refresh you. Otherwise, you may have to drink a caffeineed beverage to keep you alert, maybe some tea. Actually over-sleeping can make you feel tired, too. Try to sleep the same amount each night whenever possible, going to bed and getting up at regular times.

yes, usually right after lunch. I usually work 7:45-6 every day. I sleep well at night and usually get a good 8 hours.
What I have been doing lately has been after I eat I usually go take a 30 minute nap in the break room or in my car. It helps pretty good.
