After being single for a very long time, Match.com seemed like the answer. Dating had become such a nightmare that I didn’t have my whole heart in it anymore. Too many letdowns, too many misconceived profiles, and far too many lonely days. Being told “you are too picky” and “it’s really your own fault you are single” was never something I wanted to hear, yet I knew I could never settle for anything I thought was less than perfect for me.

Going outside of my realm — outside of my distance preference and taking a gamble on the most intriguing man I had seen on Match.com — was incredibly scary, yet also fun and exciting. This was after I had come to the conclusion that I was not going to find my soul mate on Match.com!

From the first email there was a spark of a different sort. After a few phone calls and hoops to jump through, meeting him was the best thing I ever did! When he showed up and our hearts skipped a few beats, I think we both knew from the first moment our eyes met that this was it!

Being able to say “I love you” and meaning it more than ever before, and knowing the feeling is mutual and eagerly returned, has been the most uplifting and delightful feeling I can remember.
