The stars of A Scanner Darkly talk about past crushes, the truth about unrequited love, and what they wish for in a life-long mate.

	*Keanu, in your new movie A Scanner Darkly, your character leaves his wife and kids. Why do you think people do that?*
	Keanu: He feels kinda trapped. Sometimes people are just looking for something that’s not in their relationships. We can’t see the riches before us, so we leave.

	Winona, there’s definitely chemistry between you and Keanu Reeve’s character. Did you play your role as if you were in love with him?
	Winona: Oh, I am! He knows it too, I tell him all the time!

	Was it frustrating not to have a real love scene with him in the movie?
	Winona: I was frustrated because we didn’t get to make out!

	You have a great scene on the couch where the sparks are flying but Winona’s character is afraid to take things further. What do you think of that?
	Keanu: Unrequited love can be scary… the yearning… it’s a delicious kind of pain. Winona: If you get it, and then it gets taken away, it kills you. Sometimes you can never really recover from that… It’s very difficult to feel tremendously drawn to a person and yet not act on it.
