Question
Time to Move after 50 Years?
Q: Scorpio MB from Coventry and her Libran husband have lived in the same house for fifty years. They are both ready for a change and wonder whether there will be a house move in the future. Repairs to their existing premises are stretching their finances and the large garden is getting too much for them. She asks will they ever be able to sell their home?

A: Firstly I would like to congratulate MB and her husband on their fifty years of marriage. Astrologically, the signs Scorpio and Libra aren't always seen as a perfect match. Scorpio can be too deep and serious for the more easygoing Libran. Libra's tendency to hesitate before committing themselves to anything frustrates the Scorpio who wants definite answers. I say all this because it is also important to realise there is more to astrology than Sun signs and MB's marriage is testament of this.

There are many elements of compatibility between these two charts. MB's husband's Sun is actually on the cusp of Virgo and Libra. Scorpio and Virgo are both signs that take their responsibilities very seriously and whatever they do, they like to do it well.

MB's husband also has Mercury in Virgo which will emphasise his tendency to analyse everything but in a precise and organised way. This trait is not especially associated with Librans. His Venus in Leo and Mars in Sagittarius and her Venus in Sagittarius along with her Scorpio Sun suggests that physically, this relationship is a passionate and exciting one.

There is fun, loyalty, passion, excitement and the occasional sense of shared adventure that has kept this marriage strong for half a century and the couple will continue to find new ways to make their life together interesting.

A house move could well be one of them. It might take a while longer, because of the situation of the house, for it to sell. There's also the strong possibility that an offer will be received that is well below the asking price. This is when the couple must decide whether it's worth accepting less than they had expected if this gives them a chance to begin a new life together in a new and more manageable home. – It could well be that after further negotiations, they will settle on a compromise.
