Psychic News

10033317newspaperDid you know that Psychic News, along with the Daily News, actually exists? One form of psychic news is a Spiritualist Newspaper that has been in publication since 1923, and it deals with all paranormal, supernatural issues even today! It is called Psychic News in fact and was published for the first time on the 28th May 1932. Its editor was a certain Mr. Maurice Barbanell who was guided to create it by a “Spirit Helper”. Hannen Swaffer, as well as Arthur Findlay, were also involved. Hannen was a well known Fleet Street journalist and Arthur a renowned spiritualist. They both participated in collating the metaphysical news and building up readership with their articles. In fact, from the 50s to the 60s Psychic News published several articles about witchcraft! In those days such articles were quite controversial. A bookshop connected to the newspaper was subsequently opened and it still deals in publications about the spiritual worlds, that are both fascinating and intriguing

But above and beyond “Psychic News” itself what is new about the psychic world these days? Well a very interesting psychic news story reported a sweet little cat would hang out around a hospital ward, helping patients who were about to move on to the other dimensions. The cat knew exactly when an individual was about to die and jumped on their beds to keep them company before they passed over! Many of our pets are psychics and the great psychic news here is that they could also be healers and help us in our transition to the other side, or even during times of great stress.

University of Northampton

Another piece of fascinating psychic news was reported by the BBC this year. A student at the University of Northampton has been awarded a 1,811 metaphysical scholarship from the Parapsychology Foundation in the USA to research telepathy and clairvoyance. He will be studying “up close and personal” reports on the existence of life after death and hopes to do a Research Degree on apparitions in 2010. He told a BBC reporter that his interest in the paranormal began in Nottinghamshire when he was a kid, as it was a place where many hauntings were always being reported.

Dr. Melvyn J. Willin

Yet another piece of interesting psychic news is yet again to do with psychic research. Dr. Melvyn J. Willin states he is in the process of interviewing people who have heard music during their “NDE”, Near Death Experience. He has also been involved in other projects concerning music in paranormal situations. Melvyn has obtained two doctorates at University of Sheffield and Bristol University. He is working together on this project with Trinity College, Cambridge, UK. We do not know why Melvyn is so interested in the musical side of paranormal activities, but suffice it to say he is determined to understand what is behind reports of chimes and bells ringing when patients enter the divine worlds!

And now hold on to your breeches, yet another very important piece of psychic news is a BBC report on UFO Close Encounters. Documents release from the Ministry of Defence show we quote:

A boomerang shaped object seen from airport control tower, and a woman’s encounter with an alien” are among the secrets revealed in official UFO files.

The woman reported seeing a glowing spherical object rise in the air in Norwich after meeting a man who said he came from a planet similar to earth. In another sighting, a triangular craft hovered then shot off at about 500mph.

Close Encounter

In November 1989 a completely terrified” woman contacted RAF Wattisham in Suffolk to report her close encounter with a man claiming to be an alien. She said she met the fair-haired man with a Scandinavian-type accent as she walked her dog on a sports field. He told her crop circles were caused by others like him who had travelled to Earth and that the purpose of his visit was friendly. She then said he had spoken to her because he felt it was important to have contact with humans even though he was told not to. As the unidentified woman ran home she heard a loud buzzing noise and turned to see a large, spherical object, glowing orange-white, rise steadily until out of sight. A letter from RAF Wattisham to the MoD and Norfolk police described it as “one of the more unusual reports!”

So you see psychic news can really “rock” and you might like to keep y6our eyes and ears a little open for it! Keep looking up at those skies, and down at those cats!
